Its just a Shadow

As a pretty new born biker David Gideskog got an idea of making a descent looking bobber out of something really cheap. Without knowledge, skills or even tools he just figured things out along the way, got some help were the task was to difficult and manage to built an awesome looking ride out of an old sad Honda Shadow he bought for the nice price of 6.000 SEK/600 EURO.

The bike was pretty sad when David bought it and gave it loads of love.

It took a while to get all surfaces like new again…

The bike is connected to an app in Davids phone, crazy but cool.

David kept the original triple trees with all control lamps.
The Shadow is not either the first or the only ride in Davids garage.
Besides the Shadow the very clean and empty garage is housing a newer Harley cholo style. The Shadow though was more of a challenge, like make the best out of a wreck. He made plans for about 6 months, swept the Internet for ideas and inspiration, decided which bike he was going to build on, got the necessary parts and went ahead. – Had an idea of what it would become in the end, but some things were harder to work through then others, David says.

The frame was made rigid by Daniel Fogell and he had a local company painting everything. The gas tank he found on eBay especially made for Shadows and the oil tank doesn’t consist any oil, just all the electric stuff a modern bike needs. Hell, he can even fix things on the bike with an app in his phone. The creativity on this build is amazing. The style of it is super cool with a Firestone car tire on the rear and a pretty fat Firestone front the ride is still super narrow and small. David is tall though but with a perfect set of foot peg mount and a little bit higher Texas bar it works. The bike is road legal except for the missing front brake on the pictures.
– I will probably mount it again, its a little bit hard without it combined with the jockey shift, he smiles. David already have plans for a new ride and this time it’s probably gonna be a Shovelhead engine and the result of that build is in the *future.
*Eventually David built another bike and it turned out to be a rigid framed Early shovel with springer front and peanut gas tank in fine Frisco style.
